Head of Business Development The Head of Business Development/Sales role at these globally renowned brokers is an exciting, dynamic opportunity for an individual with a proactive sales approach and a strong background in insurance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and acquire new clients for general insurance programs in Ireland.
  • Promote our clients general insurance products, including Combined Liability, Motor Fleet, Commercial Combined, Cyber, D&O, Professional Indemnity, Property/Business Interruption, Technology, and Engineering.
  • Generate new business opportunities through phone, email, and in-person contact.
  • Maintain and expand client relationships, ensuring high standards of customer service and quality.
  • Achieve personal sales targets through business and client development activities.
  • Lead and oversee a team of Advisors and Team Leads in an inbound/outbound sales environment.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities for team members.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with company goals.
What this role requires:
  • Manage daily operations and projects to support the expansion of our clients Producer footprint within the commercial insurance industry.
  • Assist in planning and directing budgets, goals, and business objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of projects, including projection development, milestone tracking, and project completion.
  • Participate in client meetings by coordinating summaries and ensuring action items are completed.
  • Develop and track client renewal lists and reports.
  • Assist with presentation preparation for clients and senior leadership.
  • Process Requests for Proposals (RFP) and develop responses with minimal oversight.
  • Develop policies and procedures for effective account management and client service.
  • Develop into a true partner to the Producer in all activities of existing and future book growth.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3–10 years of management experience in an inside sales environment.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to motivate and promote a positive, "can do" culture.
  • Efficient in multi-tasking and managing workload and time.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and a team player.
  • Adept at problem-solving and making critical decisions.
  • Ability to interpret and implement company and state policies and processes.
  • Ability to grasp new and complex concepts.
  • Ability to use data to monitor/manage operational results and identify opportunities for process improvement.
