Loan Officer Our client, a leading Credit Union based in the West of Ireland, are looking to add an experienced Loan Underwriter to join their growing team

The ideal candidate will maintain a quality service to members and colleagues, whilst promoting the products and services offered by the company.

Requirements

• Experience in a similar role within a credit union or financial services environment.
• A broad knowledge of the portfolio of lending services on offer to include an
• understanding of the credit policy, legislation & compliance pertaining to Credit Unions.
• Analytical skills and organisational skills are essential. Output and outcome focused.
• QFA or APA Loans qualification desirable (or to be actively working towards obtaining qualification)

Key Functions

• Meet members face to face to discuss their lending query
• Ensure members are attended to in a timely and efficient manner, whether via waiting room or on incoming phone calls, or by way of leads from the marketing channels
• Advise members on document requirements
• Assist members with the drawdown of their loans and repayment plans
• Discuss loan cases with other lending officers
• Maintain strong team ethic and group morale
