Part-Time Insurance & Claims Manager This role requires someone with a combination of technical expertise in insurance and claims, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to manage risks while driving continuous improvements across the business.

Core Responsibilities:
  1. Accident/Incident Management:
    • Overseeing investigations, reporting, and documentation of accidents/incidents.
    • Liaising with clients, employees, and injured parties, ensuring smooth transitions from incidents to claims and potential court proceedings.
    • Coordinating with internal teams and external third parties (e.g., medical assessments, legal representatives).
    • Reviewing and ensuring the correct handling of high-risk or complex incidents, and identifying areas for improvement.
    • Ensuring timely publishing of management and client reports.
  2. Claims/Insurance Management:
    • Managing communication and claims with insurers and brokers, including legal matters.
    • Maintaining claim files on a central system (Eco-Online) and tracking claim progress.
    • Attending court proceedings, mediations, and inspections, and arranging meetings with key witnesses.
    • Overseeing insurance renewals, ensuring the best coverage and costs for the company.
  3. Risk Management:
    • Identifying and managing initiatives to improve risk management practices.
    • Supporting risk register reviews and helping mitigate risks through policies and controls.
    • Keeping abreast of industry trends and risk mitigation strategies.
  4. Strategy:
    • Aligning the department’s goals with the company’s strategic plan.
    • Contributing to the development of the company’s strategic plans by emphasizing accident prevention and effective claims management.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • A relevant degree and insurance/claims management qualification (APA/CIP/MDI/ACII)
  • Proven experience in accident and claims management and business risk analysis.

Remuneration & Benefits:
  • €40k-50k DOE
  • Pension (after probationary period) 2.5% employer and 2.5% employee with option for AVC's
  • Death in Service - 2 times annual salary
