About the Firm: Our client is a leading Irish law firm providing services to high-profile companies, financial institutions, and government bodies in relation to complex legal and tax transactions. Their tax team offers a fully integrated tax service, providing both advisory and compliance services to clients. The highly experienced team is composed of lawyers, chartered accountants, and tax advisors.
In this tax team, you will benefit from working in an environment typically found in small practices, where you have direct access to partners while also being exposed to some of the largest transactions carried out in Ireland each year.
The Role: We are looking for a Tax Director to join a dynamic and flexible team. You’ll collaborate with talented specialists to provide high-quality service to clients, with opportunities to develop your expertise further.
Our tax team delivers tailored solutions across a range of transactions including mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, corporate restructurings, private equity, cross-border tax planning, financial services tax, real estate tax, VAT, and disputes. We also work with overseas tax counsel on mergers, domiciliation's, and debt capital markets.
Candidate Requirements: - 5 years PQE as a Tax Consultant or Tax Lawyer, with experience in an international or Irish law firm.
- Strong academic background in tax, law, accountancy, or related discipline.
- Proven experience with tax technical matters, planning, and structuring.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative and motivated team player.
Main Responsibilities: You will advise on:
- Corporate restructurings and inward investments.
- Mergers, acquisitions, disposals, and corporate finance.
- Private equity transactions.
- Property transactions, VAT, stamp duty, and tax disputes.
- You’ll also manage junior team members, client portfolios, budgets, and targets.
